After receiving the storyboards for the poses and renders I got to work getting green screen renders done.

I first started with the props as they would be easier to pose and render out, the two footballs were the first to be rendered out. The modern football was rendered from the front and at an angle while the old football I rendered them from the same angle but I made sure that the initials DJ were shown in both of the renders, I did also modify the colours a slight amount as the render came out a bit darker than I would have liked.

Next came the goal post were I rendered from the front camera view in Maya and then shifted around 45 degrees for the second render.

Finally for the props I had to render the jersey as it could be used on just promotional posts on their own I did render the original black and blue version of the jerseys which looked fine but I though only having it would lack variety in the promotional material so instead I reopened the file in 3D substance painter and created two variants of the model, one that was Red and white and one that was black and white.

After completing the props I moved onto the characters I decided to create three renders of each with each render containing a different pose. I start with the boy model where I made a pose of him;

  • Juggling the ball

  • Jumping then kicking the ball

  • Bouncing the ball off of his chest.

Next I did the girl where I wanted some more dynamic poses so I did renders of her;

  • Jumping and bouncing the ball of her chest

  • Holding the ball under here foot

  • Bicycle kicking the ball

Finally I did the renders of the Old player as Desy was a goal keep I decided to make him pose in the style of a goalkeeper so I made him;

  • Hold the ball under his arm

  • Diving to save the ball

  • Kicking the ball on the ground

  • Holding the ball in both hands

There were some issues with the rendering as some models became broken or distorted however I was able to fix this and overall I am happy with the renders.
