During the holiday season the Organizer came up with a new idea for a prop that could be used in the turntable and the promotional materials a trophy.
We had a meeting after Christmas to remind ourselves what work I had to finish off before the launch of the festival, here she brought up the idea of the trophy and had shown me a few references of the type of trophy she wanted me to make.
After this meeting I got to work on the trophy, the actual modelling itself wasn't complicated as the style of trophy was very blocky and simple. To create the cup part of the trophy I drew a line then extruded a cylinder along the line to create the handles. I also added a small plaque to apply text to for some added detail and connection the the festival.
In 3D substance painter I used a marble material for the base of the trophy while I used a simple metal polished material with decreased roughness and increased metallic settings to make it look more distinct. I also added some text onto the plaque saying DJ Football Winner and I lowered the height so it looked like a engraving. I initially made the model gold but after looking at the reference that was a silver cup i decided to make a second version of the cup that was silver for some extra variety. I then rendered each cup three times and sent them into the Trello.
