After finishing the initial mechanic I begun the creation of the tutorial area that would teach the player how to summon the different platforms. The Area had to be confined so the player couldn't die and could be funneled down a linear path. In order to teach the player how to use the summoning mechanic I decided to make the beginning puzzle a simple jump from platform to platform that are on the same elevation while changing colors each time. This would allow the players to get used to the control scheme before moving onto the main section of the game.
I also made the starting area indoors so that leaving and seeing the massive tower that you had to climb more impressive.
After creating that I decided that I should create an environment around the player to add some atmosphere, I chose mountains as I believed that this would be easier to create using the sculpting tool and would not impact performance as much as something like a forest.

Next I created The floating islands that would be located on the outside of the tower that the player would be able to use the platforms and a grappling hook to get to in order to reach the top of the tower rather than go through the tower.

Finally I decided to create the grapple hook mechanic so that I could test the different ranges and to find out the best settings for the player such as speed and in air control. I generally understood how to make the mechanic but I decided to follow a YouTube tutorial so that I could definitely get the mechanic right.
