I started this next project to further enhance my skill with Low Poly modelling techniques from the trident model I did previously. To this end I first pre planned how I would create the model and I decided to utilise less complex shapes like the helix and make use of a more varied colour palette in order to make the model more eye catching. I did have some problems with some non-manifold geometry while making the model but some deletion and reconstruction fix that quickly enough.

In substance painter I focused on using emissives and opacity at certain areas of the model like the crystals that hang from the speakers and the X decals on the sides. I also used contrasting colours mainly Pink and blue to add more visual flare to the model, this is in response a problem with my previous works as I noticed that mainly of them were visually boring especially when it came to colour.

As mentioned above I found that most of my previous work could be visually boring due to the lack of interesting use of colour however I also wanted to improve the aesthetics of my models in the Arnold renderer as well, to do this I researched into other artist portfolios and tutorial videos on YouTube to find a effective solution to this issue. Through my researched I found that a common technique to light model during a render was to use a set of three lights the Fill Light, Back light and Key Light. I was familiar with this lighting set up from my time in drama and moving image classes however the key difference was that the key and back light would would make use of cold and hot colours. This technique of course adds yet more substance to the model as the colours of two of the light now contrast each other too and makes the asset being rendered contrast off the background better.
Finally I decided to follow how i made the turntable animation for the Desy Jennings Charity and created a turn table for the model just to make the social madia post more eye catching to those scrolling past.
Overall I feel as though I completed the goals I set out to achieve as not only did I create a prop that more accurately replicates a low poly style but I also discovered a new way to light my props in renders which will help with making my portfolio stick out a bit more.
